CELLAR DOORS
No trip to Griffith is complete without a visit to some of the city’s wonderful wineries. The region’s wine industry has a strong heritage of Australian pioneers and Italian immigrants who saw the potential of the Mediterranean climate, Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme and the rich red soil of the Riverina. From large establishments to boutique outfits, the friendly cellar door staff will guide you through the tastings of their regional and award-winning wines and many of the wineries offer picturesque gardens for you to relax in with picnic tables and barbeque facilities.

Aisling Distillery
The Aisling Distillery was founded in 2014 to specialise in small batch premium single malt whisky, rum and more recently gin and vodka. They wanted to capture the Riverina also known as “the food bowl of Australia”, and the sheer beauty of the Griffith Region, New South Wales, the heart of the Murrumbidgee that is home to so many traditions.

Calabria Family Wines
Family tradition is strongly present when you visit the Calabria Family Wines Tuscan-style cellar door. Elise, Peta and the cellar door team offer warm Italian hospitality that has been passed down through generations. Spectacular double front doors open into an elegant cellar door and tasting bar, where you will have the opportunity to explore and taste award winning wines produced in one of the country’s finest estates right here in the Riverina.

McWilliam’s Wines
Come and visit the Riverina’s first winery which has reopened in August 2023. The McWilliam family pioneered the wine region back in 1913 when John James (J.J.) McWilliam brought vine cuttings to the area and established the Hanwood site. A statue of J.J. takes pride of place at the front of the cellar door in honour of his vision and hard work.

Harvest HQ is a beautiful venue to just sit and enjoy a drink, and watch the world go by. With a small bar menu selection and some great regional produce to buy, Harvest HQ offers a great snapshot of our wine and produce scene in Griffith.
Visitors can book in to do a regional wine or gin tasting experience, great for those who may be short on time, and want to taste a wide range of products in one spot.
